What is Shilajit?

Shilajit is not something produced overnight — it takes hundreds to thousands of years of natural processes in the Himalayan mountains.

Collection & Purification

Raw Shilajit is gathered carefully from these rock crevices. It must then be purified to remove dirt, heavy metals, and impurities before it becomes safe for human use.

Plant & Organic Matter Compression

High-altitude plants, herbs, and other organic material get trapped between layers of rock over centuries. The unique climate of the Himalayas — cold winters, scorching summers, and constant pressure — slowly compresses this organic matter.

Decomposition & Transformation

Over time, microorganisms break down the trapped plant material, transforming it into a rich, tar-like substance. This process concentrates minerals, fulvic acid, and bioactive compounds.

Seepage Through Rocks

During hot summer months, the softened resin seeps out of cracks in the Himalayan rocks. Locals often describe it as “mountain sweat” or “rock exudate.”
